Why does this blog exist?

Given the opportunity to travel almost anywhere Europe for ten days and develop my own personal opinions on architecture, I chose to hone in on performance spaces. I use a broad term so I can attend not only stereotypical theatres, but also churches and outdoor amphitheaters, while I try to shed some light on how to design a successful venue. I want to pull together useful observations from examples in Prague and Rome from a variety of time periods that I can refer to later in my career as an architect.
